2 Lacs Job Vacancies to be filled through 7th State Level Job Fair – Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Advisor Govt of Punjab (Skill Development and Technical Education) Punjab Government is organising 7th State Level Mega Job fair from 9th September to 17th September 2021 under Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission ( PGRKAM). Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura Adviser Govt of Punjab Skill Development &Technical Education informed that under this 7th Mega Job Fair total 2 lac job vacancies to be filled in private sector across 22 districts in Punjab including high end job employment opportunities in Top MNC Microsoft which hired six students (Two @ Salary package of INR 43 Lacs and Four @ INR 12 Lacs pa) during 6th State level job fair held in September 2020. On the eve of 75th State Level Independence Day program held at Amritsar, 34 candidates were given Govt jobs by Hon’ble CM Punjab. All these candidates belongs to affected families of infamous train tragedy at Jaura Fatak Amritsar in 2018 during Dusshera celebrations which claimed over 50 lives. They have been accommodated at DC office, Civil Surgeon office, MC, Education Department and Improvement Trust. Dr. Kaura said he also lived in Krishna Nagar locality during his childhood days near Jaura Phatak crossing Amritsar where this tragedy happened and most of victims were from this colony. He made tireless efforts to get all victims compensation amount and Govt jobs to eligible members of affected families. He met family members of victims who got Govt Jobs and felt emotional and homely after meeting all of them, like time just stood by. On behalf of families of victims and people of Amritsar, he expressed his heartiest thanks to Honble CM Punjab. On the request of residents of area , Dr Kaura asked District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises Amritsar to organise a Job Fair Registration Camp at Jaura Fatak Amritsar to assist the youths in registration for upcoming 7th State Level Mega Job fair. Total 180 candidates registered for the upcoming job fair from Jaura phatak and its nearby localities and were very excited to find the job opportunities at their doorsteps.
