On 28 December , 2021, Dr Sandeep Singh Kaura, Advisor to CM Govt of Punjab for Skill Development and Technical Education visited his ancestral village Malowal , Block Tarsikka , District Amritsar . This village is known as Model Village having an ultra-modern AC gym , Playgrounds , Elementary and High School , Well connected wide roads connected to NH-1 , and no youth of this village is hooked to consumption of drugs . The youth club of the village under the active guidance of Dr Kaura is making all efforts to further development of the village. On their request Dr Kaura laid the foundation of Modern park and Industry Skill Development Centre apart from upgrading the infrastructure of Gym .
Such initiatives inspired the young people of other villages and they too made efforts to curb issues surrounding them. One such instance came from village Bhorshi Rajputan, District Amritsar In this village the young individuals took steps to get rid of the adverse effects of drugs and focus on growth and development of their village. It was on 4th January 2022, Advisor Dr Sandeep Kaura was invited by to Bhorshi Rajputan by youth club who are working wholeheartedly towards the progress of their village for curbing drug related issues and fasten other developmental activities. In conversation with Dr kaura the young ones made him aware of the prime issues faced by them on routine basis. One such being the consumption of drugs, other being deteriorating health of roads, substandard health facilities, dearth of facilities especially for football players and much more. The young individuals while conversing with Dr Kaura assured him that no one amongst them is ever going to get involved in drug abuse and risk their lives. On hearing their viewpoint , Dr Kaura assured them all help including set up of modern gym , developing football grounds, Improving road infrastructure and other issues raised by gram panchayat.
Such Initiatives by Youth of different villages have infused fresh energy among and all the looking forward towards Dr Kaura as Torchbearer.
